Let me introduce myself. My name is Ann Llewellyn. Until 2011 at the age of 63, I had never, ever run but I was the best sideline cheerleader at every race I could attend! I admired each runner as they went by and called out encouragement from start to finish. I felt it was the closest I could ever come to that wonderful group of people called “runners.”
On July 26th, Dani tackled her 30th half marathon at the Biggest Loser Half in Killington, Vermont. No one is more shocked by this stat than her. Growing up Dani was an active child, but avoided running if she could. But that all changed in January 2005.
November 2010, Nathanael weighed a whopping 475 pounds. He realized something needed to change and started working on a healthier lifestyle. To his surprise, he had lost 10 pounds in one year. Although weighing in at 465 pounds, it was progress! A friend of Nathanael’s seen his progress and mentioned weight loss surgery.
