ABOUT ANDREA

Andrea was a cast member on Season 16 of The Biggest Loser TV show. Her passion for fitness  and a healthy lifestyle continued after the finale and brought her to lead The Biggest Loser Race Series! Since taking over the series, even her husband Mark has gotten into running and will be completing his first half-marathon in Chicago this August!

Andrea also owns Woodward Entertainment Group, a company based out of the Detroit area, that manages professional dancers and events for sports teams and various productions across the area. She loves golfing, vacations in the caribbean, and a being part of the Biggest Loser family!  When it comes to her “bucket list” she has pretty much completed everything and says “now it’s down to planning and attending 3 VERY amazing parties! My 50th, 75th, and 100th birthday parties!”

Ask Andrea

What are your favorite and least favorite foods?
“Favorite food, A GREAT pizza. It has to be worth the calories and my least favorite would be any type of olive or sardines!”

Do you have a favorite sports team or sporting event?
“I love pro football and I’m a Seahawks fan. Their coach looks like my husband’s identical twin!”

What is your favorite part about working with The Biggest Loser Race Series?
“I love making a difference in people’s lives. Meeting the fans, motivating them, and watching THEM inspire ME!”

Have there been any motivational or inspirational people that you have met during your time working with The Biggest Loser Race Series?
“There are entirely too many to mention. I’ve met so many people starting on and continuing their journeys to a healthy lifestyle. Each one inspires me to continue on my own journey and I will never be able to thank them enough!”

If you could pick any city to host a Biggest Loser Race, where would it be and why?
“Maui. Hawaii is a beautiful state that we haven’t done a race in yet. I can’t imagine a more beautiful place to host a race! Get ready Maui, BLRS is comin’ for you!”

Something we wouldn’t know about you by looking at you?
“I have the auto-immune diseases Ulcerative Colitis, Chron’s, and GERD. At most times of the day, I’m in serious agony, but I try to never let it show!”

Do you have a nickname and if so, how did you get it?
“Queen B. Got the nickname from former NFL player Nate Burleson. Long story! LOL”

Callie Parkinson

ABOUT CALLIE

Callie is the “Go To Girl!”for everything and anything Biggest Loser Race Series. She’s been with the series for quite a while now and has transitioned from a Marketing Intern to the full-time Marketing Coordinator. She has an infectious personality and if you ask her friends and family, they would tell you she is Fun, Charismatic, and Loyal! We agree!

Callie graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree from Indiana University and still calls Indiana home! Her dream is to travel the world and if she could do it as a wine buyer she would! On a perfect day, you’d find her biking, kayaking, dancing, and eating Mexican food.

What is your favorite part about working with The Biggest Loser Race Series?
“After all the hard work and long hours it takes to make an event possible, it’s all worth it when you see participants having a great time. The inspiration is infectious! And traveling – I get to visit beautiful places that I never would have thought of visiting.”

Have there been any motivational or inspirational people that you have met during your time working with The Biggest Loser Race Series?
“There have been so many motivational and inspirational people I have met; I couldn’t narrow it down to one. However, the one story that always comes up in conversation is Mighty Matthew and his running buddy who ran our Plattsburgh, NY half marathon in arm crutches in support of Mighty Matthew.”

If you could pick any city to host a Biggest Loser Race, where would it be and why?
“Honolulu, Hawaii… because it’s Hawaii!!”

What is something we wouldn’t know about you by looking at you?
“I’ve been dancing since I was 3 years old!”

Marvin Alkatib

ABOUT MARVIN

Marvin started working with the Operations Crew in 2016, but started with The Biggest Loser in 2014 as Andrea’s “at-home trainer”on Season 16 of the TV show. He still works full-time as a personal trainer, but when he isn’t at the gym, you will find him golfing, watching the Detroit Lions, or GOLFING!  He also likes to spend time with his wife, Lisa, two amazing sons and their pit bull/lab, Jade!

Ask Marvin

What is one of your biggest accomplishments?
“Fulfilling my father’s last wish…giving him his first grandson and carrying on his name and legacy.”

What is your favorite part about working with The Biggest Loser Race Series?  
“Seeing people you would least expect doing a half marathon, do it and finishing it strong.  Being a personal trainer, I am very inspired by these individuals.”

Have there been any motivational or inspirational people that you have met during your time working with The Biggest Loser Race Series?
“When I was checking on a water station at around the 11 mile mark, I saw a man in a wheelchair doing a half marathon with his arms. He passed on water when asked if he wanted any.  It was very inspiring! I asked myself, if he can do it, what’s my excuse or anyone else’s excuse?”

If you could pick any city to host a Biggest Loser Race, where would it be and why?  
“Anywhere in Northern or Northwestern Michigan along Lake Michigan! Michigan is my home state and it was voted the #1 tourist attraction state! I think it’s the most beautiful state with sandy beaches and thick dense forests. Every season change hits this state!”

What is something we wouldn’t know about you by looking at you?  
“I’m a big ol’ teddy bear and my nickname is ‘Marvelous!’ Not because of the boxing great Marvin Hagler of course, simply because I’m just marvelous! Boom!!!”
